Location
The Willow Tree is situated just outside the local village of Le Thor in Le Pays de la Sorgues – “the countryside of the River Sorgues” which means that the river keeps the ground more fertile keeping the lawns greener and more lush all year round.
Only 20 minutes to Avignon by car or train and only 3 hours to Paris, or 6 hours from London on the TGV!
The Willow Tree lies only 20 minutes from the famous Papal City of Avignon, It is on a local train line that goes directly through Le Thor. The fast train or “TGV” goes directly to Avignon from Paris in just 3 hours, making the journey to London via Paris or Lille on the Eurostar in just 6 hours!
The Willow Tree is only 10 minutes from the famous antiques town of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgues, with its vast array of French antique warehouses and boutique shops, river cafes and restaurants.

Location
The Olive Garden is situated in the small village of Caromb, and is one of the picturesque villages nestled in the foothills of Mont Ventoux. This is a spectacular area of Provence. There are views to die for, from the Chateau Relais Hotel in Crillon le Brave, just next door to Caromb, you can sit on the dining terrace and enjoy a beer as the sun sets over the valley.
Caromb is a 10 minute drive to Carpentras and only a 30 minutes drive to Avignon and the TGV station. It is accessible to all areas of Provence but notably provides access to Bedoin and Malaucene, both villages at the foot of the famous Mont Ventoux making The Olive Garden a perfect cycling venue. You can get right on your bike from the front door of the house and cycle on to some of the most outstanding cycling routes in the world. Explore the hills of Les Dentelles, climb The Ventoux and cycle over to enjoy The Luberon, the choice is endless.
The house itself borders onto National Forest and yet is a pleasant walk into town to access all the local bars, restaurants and shops. For hiking, mountain biking, visiting rivers and for all outdoor adventures, The Olive Garden will tick all your boxes.
