About 20 minutes by foot on a non busy road with a pretty final part into Le Thor itself over a bridge crossing the river Sorgues. It’s a lovely bicycle ride on the flat, and we do have bicycles you can use. By car it takes a couple of minutes to get to the closest supermarket.

There is a large “Intermarche” supermarket that has a very good fresh meat and fish counter. It sells everything you need for day to day shopping. There is a wonderful “Boulangerie” in the centre of town, opposite the bank and tourist information centre. There are several other bakeries and small supermarkets, a couple of cafes with outside awnings for tables and chairs, a pharmacy, various hairdressers, an optician, various flower shops, a post office and a tabac (newsagent). There is a market on Wednesday mornings for local fresh fruit and vegetables and also on Saturday for fresh produce, local products, hot food and other wares, arts and crafts, clothes, shoes etc.

Yes, between 9-12noon. This gives you plenty of time to go food shopping if you are unable to do so following your arrival on Saturday.

Yes, we try to give you as much information as possible for reference during your stay. There is also a library of guide books and information.

Yes, this is in the information booklet but if requested I can send you a list prior to your arrival.

Once the changeover of the house is complete I aim to send back all deposits via bank transfer or PayPal within the following week.

You will not be charged any additional amount for paying using a credit card. All banking charges are covered by ourselves “The Owner”

We provide all bed linen, with sheets and quilts, blankets are available if required. We provide a body and face towel per person and a large pool towel.

We have a wooden cot and two travel cots with baby bed linen if required. There a two wooden baby high chairs and 2 others if required. We have a baby changing mat, a potty, 2 child seats for the back of the car, a cupboard full of childrens’ toys, large and small ego, a wooden railway set, various games and a selection of children’s films on DVD.

We like to welcome you with a couple of bottles of recommended wine from a local vineyard. We provide tea and coffee, coffee filters, sugar, olive oil, salt and pepper, a selection of herbs and spices, and anything else useful that has been supplied by previous clients of the same year.

There is a coffee perculator, a kettle and a Nespresso machine. If you would like Nepresso coffee we can order some for you to be delivered to the house. Please give at least a week’s notice if you require this service.

We can provide you with a catering service during your stay depending on your requirements. Please ask for further information at the time of making your booking

We visit the house ourselves to do the pool maintenance but sometimes we ask for clients to fill up the pool with the hose, depending how hot it is and how much water is evaporating each day.

A cleaning service can be provided but it is at an additional cost depending on your needs. Please inquire for further details. We provide basic cleaning materials, floor broom, bucket and mop, hoover, dustpan and brush, various cloths and products.

There is a laundry room on the first floor with a washing machine and drying machine. There is also a washing line outside. The house provides an iron with ironing board.
